Holiday & Lack Of Updates

with 2 comments

I’m super sorry that I haven’t been updating, but I’ve been really busy with school and work at the moment. This weekend I’m going out to the Duke, which is a beach camping spot near my town, so I’ll be without the internet. From now on, though, I’ll probably update once a week though, on the weekends, otherwise I just can’t fit it in. Sorry, guys. I hope you’ll keep reading this blog, though.

A Birthday & A New Baby

with one comment

Hey again, I’m back, with another update. Haha, even I’m surprised at myself. But I’m not working today, and I needed something to do. Therefore, I thought of this. So, onward!

Anderson James & Nola James

Anderson James & Nola James

It was time for Anderson’s birthday again. And Nola’s still pregnant with number four baby at it.

Anderson James

Anderson James

Isn’t he a cutie? I love him to bits, and those eyes are just gorgeous. He grew up into that hair and shorts as well, I just changed the shirt. Adorable, isn’t he?

Nola James

Nola James

While upgrading a shower for one of her children’s father, Nola went into labour with her fourth child. Anderson, as he is the only child who can react to the birth, went into overdrive, which explains the next four pictures of him.

Anderson James

Anderson James

“Wait, wait! Stop! Are you sure that you want another one?”

Anderson James

Anderson James

“Okay, okay! I guess it is coming! What’s all that water on the ground from, Mum?!”

Anderson James

Anderson James

“But WHY?! Is three not enough for you? Why does there have to keep being more?”

Anderson James

Anderson James

“You’re on a blog and part of a challenge? Yeah right Mum, yeah right. But think, think. Ahh, go to the hospital!”

Nola James & Dakota James

Nola James & Dakota James

And off to the hospital she went, where the father of her baby, Nathan Russo met her. She came out with another baby boy, who is named Dakota. So there is now Anderson, Braiden, Carter and Dakota. I want a girl, simmies! Pleaseee!

Anderson James

Braiden James, Anderson James & Carter James

After getting over his shock of seeing his mother in labour, Anderson went back to working out, his childhood love, as well as fishing. In the background, his little brothers chewed on teddy bears, and played the xylophone. Ahh, blissful house. Well, not really, because the mother is pumping out babies like there is no tomorrow. Ha, just joking Nola. I love her, really.

Nola James & Alastair Dyson

Nola James & Alastair Dyson

As soon as she got home, Nola bought another crib, and invited over Alastair Dyson, who she had gotten to know during her pregnancy by chatting to him on the computer. I’ve found this is easier, so I can just invite him over, and whip them into bed.

Alastair Dyson & Nola James

Alastair Dyson & Nola James

Well, they had no problems with that. They continue to autonomously woohoo, until I had to click many times, and send Alastair home immediately. They kissed goodbye, and that will be the last of Alastair until the birth.

Anderson James

Anderson James

As Anderson grew up on a Friday afternoon, and then it was the weekend, he spent three days of his childhood at home, fishing and exercising, while worrying about school. Above is him on his way to school. He made friends that first day, and had a great time.

Nola James

Nola James

Why, thankyou Alastair. You have done your job quite well. Now Nola can take care of the children and try and max out her handiness skill, even though that has nothing to do with her LTW. It’s just helpful because in this house, everything breaks because so many sims use everything!

Nola James

Nola James

Yes, Nola, you’re pregnant again. It’s okay, you only have twenty-two babies to go, including this one. It’s not that bad. So, tune in next time for the fifth baby in this story! I can’t wait either!

Three Little Boys

with 2 comments

So, again, Nola wasted no time with getting back into the dating game. She bought another crib, plonked baby Braiden into it, checked on Anderson, and then went about finding a suitable father for her third baby.

Mathias Sharapova & Nola James

Mathias Sharapova & Nola James

Mathias Sharapova seemed acceptable. I named him after Maria Sharapova, the tennis star, if anyone was wondering, because I had been watching the tennis at the time of his creation. Anyway, the two got along well, but I forgot to take a picture of them doing the hanky panky. I had my sound turned off at that moment, because it was late at night, but I made them ‘Try For Baby’ about 8 times, so after Mathias was sent home, I hoped that it would work.

Nola James

Nola James

And I guess it worked, because that next day, Nola began her signature run towards the trouble to do yet another vomit. I, by this point was ecstatic. Nola, however, hated the vomiting part of pregnancy, but embraced the rest.

Braiden James & Nola James

Braiden James & Nola James

After her daily vomit, it was time for Braiden’s birthday. The youngest was growing up.

Braiden James

Braiden James

Isn’t he a cutie? He got his mother’s hair and eyes, and his Dad’s face. I love him to bits. Of course, as soon as he grew up, he was in logic training for his medical future.

Nola James

Nola James

After eating some more cake, as is her custom after birthday parties now, Nola changed into her maternity clothes for the third time in nearly two weeks. She was excited, as any expecting mother would be.

Nola James & Carter James

Nola James & Carter James

There wasn’t many exciting things that went on during Nola’s pregnancy. She potty trained Braiden, and taught him how to walk and talk. He used the logic box thing, and the xylophone, until the little message popped up saying that he couldn’t use it anymore. So, he then played with his teddy bear to bring up his social motives, as Nola was busy painting and writing so that she could save up for better furniture, and more home improvements and expansions. But the boys did become best friends by playing on the block table together.

Nola James & Carter James

Nola James & Carter James

Again, nothing really to report during Carter’s infancy. But soon enough, it was time for his birthday. As it was the first time in a while that she hadn’t been pregnant, Nola wore her underpants, as she used to do before she had any kids. I’m sure they won’t mind. Doesn’t she look great after three kids?

Carter James

Carter James

Okay, I have no idea where the black hair came from. Mathias is blonde, and Nola has pretty light brown hair. This is weird. Hmm. Well, anyway, I think he’s cute, apart from the nose, but Nola’s nose is slightly weird too. It just adds to both their cuteness.

Anderson James, Carter James & Braiden James

After Carter was potty trained, taught to walk and talk, and maxed out both the toddler toys, he was allowed to play and socialise with his older brothers. I love how they all grew up into nappies (diapers, whatever you call them). I think it’s a family trend.

Nathan Russo & Nola James

Nathan Russo & Nola James

The next day, after completing three small paintings, and a Drama Novel, she pursued Nathan Russo by chatting to him online. She invited him over that night, and of course, he fell for her charm.

Nola James & Nathan Russo

She shooed the three little toddlers out of the room, and into the bathroom. Then her and Nathan got down to business. Of course, I heard a lullaby on the first try. Yay for young adult fertile simmies! She then sent him on his way home, and everyone in the James household went to bed.

Braiden James & Anderson James

Braiden James & Anderson James

The next morning, after feeding and potty time, the boys went to go and play on the block table. Somehow, Braiden became stuck in the table, and as he did, Anderson got an extremely evil look on his face. It’s almost like he planned it, but I couldn’t blame him, because he’s just so damn cute!

Nola James

Nola James

Oh yeah, and Nola changed into another maternity outfit. She only had a day or two in her ordinary clothes. I’m starting to miss the grey top with the red lips on it, although the site of her in maternity clothes does excite me, because more babies! So, tune into the next entry for another baby! Hopefully I’ll post that one soon!

Anderson & A New Baby

with 4 comments

Sorry for not updating recently, as I’ve been busy with work and whatnot, and it’s been the school holidays. But today, I’m decided to post a lot of updates. Unfortunately, I’ve been slack, and haven’t taken as much photos as I should of, but that should change. So, onward with the update!

Gary McDonald & Nola James

Gary McDonald & Nola James

Above is Gary McDonald, who is Nola’s second guy she’s got her hooks into. An hour after she bought Anderson home, and got him into his new crib, she called Gary over, and they got romantic right away. I’m not wasting any time with her. They had woohoo, and I heard a lullaby, so Gary was sent home, and Nola went to bed. He’d done his job.

Nola James & Anderon James

Nola James & Anderon James

A few days later, as she began skilling, and vomiting quite a lot, it was time for Anderson to have a birthday. As Nola set him down on the ground, her phone ran, and it was Mathias, another guy she’d been pursuing, so she stood there and chatted to him as Anderson grew up.

Anderson James

Anderson James

He grew up into quite a cute toddler, and I thought the shirt was fitting, so I let him keep it. He has his mother’s face, but his father’s hair and eyes. I just love his eyes. I completely forgot I gave Kelly Slater that wonderful blue.

Nola James

Nola James

As she was putting away the cake leftovers that night, Nola popped, and finally, her vomiting moodlet went away. I love it when that goes. It just saves them from stopping what they’re doing, and running to the toilet.

Anderson James

Anderson James

During her pregnancy, Nola decided to help Anderson with his skilling. She taught him to walk, talk and use the potty. She couldn’t afford any toddler skilling books, so instead she bought him a xylophone, and a logic thing-a-ma-jig for toddlers, which he easily reached level 3 on after a few days. She began painting and writing instead, to try and fulfill her LTW.

Nola James

Nola James

Pregnancy came naturally to Nola. She embraced it, and just incorporated it into her everyday life. None of her needs decayed very much either, unlike most of my other pregnant Sims. I’m not sure why though. The game can’t really program them to like pregnancy, can it?

Nola James

Nola James

She went into labour the next evening, at around 7.00 p.m.

Nola James

Nola James

As usual, she made some extremely weird faces, but all Sims do that. But to me, they just look really weird on Nola.

Nola James & Braiden James

Nola James & Braiden James

She gave birth to another baby boy, who I named Braiden. His randomised traits are Good and Loner. I want him to become a World Renowned Surgeon, so I’ll have him training in logic from the minute he turns into a toddler.

Gary McDonald

Gary McDonald

To be honest, I had never seen the father go to the hospital when they lived in another house. I must have missed if Kelly did it when Anderson was born. But I thought it was kinda sweet when Gary did it. Although he could have mopped up the puddles instead of going straight to Nola’s computer.

The James House

The James House

To finish off this entry, here is a picture of the extension to the James House. There is now a nursery out the back, so if the babies are crying, Nola isn’t rudely awaken, and given a bad moodlet. So, I hope you enjoyed this entry. Hopefully I’ll post another one today about her next baby. I’ve played ahead so much, that she has four other kids I need to write about. I’ll try and catch up!

The First Go

with 4 comments

Nola James

Nola James

So, Nola James’ LTW is to be an Illustrious Author, so that means that she has to max out both the Painting and Writing skills. She’s way into writing drama novels on her old desktop computer. In her underwear.

Nola James

Nola James

She also enjoys painting at her old easel that she found one day, also in her underwear. She likes her underwear, I think, because that is basically all that she wants to wear.

James House

James House

Above is the current James house, which is minimally furnished, as her painting and writing money is spent towards paying the bills. Luckily one of Nola’s traits is Handy, so it’s not a big deal to repair something if it suddenly breaks. It’s all open, aside from the bathroom, and there’s not many moodlet that she receives, as there is no decoration. I must really get her the ‘Beautiful Lot” moodlet, once she gets her money up. But enough on that. Onto the real point of this blog.

Nola James & Kelly Slater

Nola James & Kelly Slater

Nola met Kelly Slater, a random male Sim I made a while ago to populate the neighbourhood with, as this Riverview neighbourhood is an empty one I downloaded from MTS. His name is like that because, I think, as I made him, I was watching the Golf ProAm on the TV, and he was playing in it, so I decided to use his name. Anyways, Nola invited Kelly over one night, and they became Good Friends in a few hours, but then he went home, and Nola went to bed, to continue her quest the next day.

Kelly Slater & Nola James

Kelly Slater & Nola James

The next morning Kelly came over again. The beauty of choosing Nola’s LTW is that it doesn’t involve her getting a job, which results in inviting other Sims over at unreasonable hours, and she still gets to make a lot of money. Anyway, she layed on her flirting skills, and Kelly couldn’t resist. They were all over each other, and then the option for “Try For Baby” popped out. Of course I clicked on it.

Kelly Slater & Nola James

Kelly Slater & Nola James

Luckily, my little couple didn’t reject each other. They got straight to work, and luckily I heard a lullaby on the first try, which isn’t something that usually happens in my game. On a side note thought, don’t you just love Nola’s hair? I think the curls are gorgeous, which is a surprise for me to say, since I have curls, but they’re definitely not as nice as hers. And the beanie is just adorable. Ahem, moving on.

Nola James

Nola James

She immediately sent Kelly home, and then began to work on her writing and painting skills again. Then the telltale sign on pregnancy in the Sims occured: Nola began feeling sick from ‘Unknown Causes’ and vomited every few hours. I was ecstatic by this point, as I love Sim babies.

Nola James

Nola James

A day later, she began to show. I love the fact that, now, Sims begin to grow out gradually, instead of standing there, with their bellies randomly popping out. This makes it so more realistic now, for which I thank EA. *thanks*  She waddled around for a few days, until . . .

Nola James

Nola James

She was writing a Drama novel, and she began to go into labour. I have a mod from MTS that makes four puddles of water appear around the mother when she goes into labour, to act as the water breaking. It’s pretty realistic. Anyway, Nola made some weird faces, and I was waiting for the home birth.

Nola James

Nola James

An hour later, she was still making weird faces, and nothing had happened, apart from her ‘Baby Is Coming!’ moodlet that was still sitting there. Then Nola’s phone ran, but of course, I couldn’t answer it, so that opportunity never made it. Not that I like them much anyway. They are sometimes useful for money, but otherwise, I just ignore them. Anyway, by now I was getting frustrated – I’ve never done a home birth before – so I just sent Nola to the hospital.

Nola & Anderson James

Nola & Anderson James

And out came baby Anderson James, who was born with the Easily Impressed and Loves The Outdoors traits. I’m hoping he’ll roll the LTW to become an Astronaut when he grows up, but we’ll see about that soon.

So, come back soon, and hopefully I’ll have another entry about who Nola’s romancing next, and Anderson’s childhood!

The Introduction

leave a comment »

Nola James

Nola James

Welcome to the 26 James’. This is a blog about the Sims 3, and one female Sim’s ambition to have 26 kids with 26 different men. This blog will document her pregnancies, and how she raises them as a single mother. The idea for this blog was stemmed from the Who’s Your Daddy challenge at the Boolprop forums. However, I don’t like scoring things, and usually I forget to score myself, so I’ve decided just to make it into a story. But I do not take credit for the idea, as CSquared came up with the original idea for the Sims 2, and stircraxy adapted it for the Sims 3.

So, I hope that you enjoy this blog, and please tell your friends about it! 😀
